Sorry for having no reviews for a long time, I was actually on a vacation until just yesterday! This came in the mail right before I came back home, so I wanted to get this review out as soon as I could!
From the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" movie, this is Nendoroid Peni Parker:

As #1522 in the Nendoroid figure series, Peni Parker is one of the latest in the ever-growing and increasingly popular Nendoroid figure series!
There were a bunch of other characters from the movie already released as Nendoroids, with Peni being one of the last main characters to get a release. This was really surprising to me as Peni was not only the one with the best design for a Nendoroid look, but also she's Japanese and heavily inspired by common Japanese designs like the schoolgirl outfit and anime expressions...so I don't know why she was so late to the Nendoroid party.
Also there was another release of this that came with her SP//dr mech as Nendoroid #1522-DX, but I had absolutely no interest in her mech at all.
Like all Nendoroids, Peni comes in the new much smaller and more compact standardized box. She's got most of her parts displayed in the window as well as the figure itself. It also has all of the normal information on it, like the series logo (in the top left corner), Good Smile Company (GSC)'s logo (top right corner), and of course the figure's name, number and image on the bottom and plastic screen.
For some reason Peni's box comes with the old style graphics and images that they used to put on Nendoroid boxes before the resizing. There's generic background scenes of the city that was seen in the movie on the box all-around. This is different from every other release of Nendoroids since the downsize.
I'm not sure if this is a MARVEL or Spider-Man thing (I don't have the other Nendoroids from those series), or if it's just something they did as a special one-off. I would like to see this continue, though.
Back of the box:
The back of the box shows all of the legal information for Good Smile Company, as well as a few images featuring poses and scenes for Peni to be posed in.
Instructions:
The instructions on Nendoroid figures seem to just keep getting bigger and bigger, but in the wrong way...they get wider, which makes it harder to scan (had to scan it as two images and combine them).
Keeping up the standard (as it is now) of Figma and Nendoroid figures; Peni's instructions are in both English and Japanese. The English is on one side, and the Japanese is on the other. It is the same on both sides, otherwise.
The instructions show all of her parts, including the standard how to change the face parts directions and how to brace the figure on the stand directions.
There are a few special parts with Peni that are featured in the instructions, which are her backpack and bubblegum bubble.
Parts:
The figure's face is kind of hard to see through the packaging due to a protective plastic cover right over her face. There are a good number of parts with Peni. Here's the list:

Out of the box:
Peni comes ready to go out of the box once her protective plastic pieces have been taken off. She comes with a smiling face with a wink in place as well as extended arms and open hands. She is also wearing her schoolgirl outfit, which is seen in the movie. Peni looks great as she comes out of the box, but I would have liked to see an alternate face with 2 closed eyes in the anime style as well.
With backpack:
Peni plugs into the base on the Nendoroid stand with a hole in her back. However she does come with a backpack accessory as well, which can be also plugged into the same port on her back that attaches to the stand. Because of this, there is a hole in the middle of the backpack as well, for the stand:
This does kind of affect the look of the backpack when the stand is not attached (as there is a big hole in it), but there was really no other way they could have done it.
But there is something to note with the backpack, however. It's really not a stable connection to her at all. The reason for this is that the backpack is not one solid piece; it has detachable straps. The plugs between the straps and the backpack don't hold together well at all, and the straps fall off every time it is detached from the figure; which always fall somewhere and can get lost easily if you are not careful. It would have been better as one solid piece with the straps and backpack.
Also there is one other thing to mention, but with Peni herself. Her arms are on unique jointed shoulder pieces. These have a joint where it plugs into her shoulder, allowing the arm to move in any direction. Normally Nendoroids have just a peg there, and there are different arms that are angled for the different directions instead. This is a much better system, as it reduces the number of parts needed (no extra arms for extra angles).
Peace sign hand:
To complete the Japanese schoolgirl look for Peni, she has a hand that is in the shape of a peace sign. She very famously did this pose in her first scene in the movie, but it also looks good to just make her look cute in toy form as well.
Alternate arms:
Peni comes with a set of arms that are bent at the elbow, but come with the sleeves of the shirt attached to them and fists in place as well. These work best to make it look like she is holding her backpack straps, although they do not attach to the straps in any way.
Alternate expression/bent arms:
Another set of arms is included with Peni, but these do not have the sleeves attached and no fists in the package. They are meant to be swapped with the straight-elbowed arms that come on the figure in the package; allowing her to bend her arm and still keep the same shoulder movement joint.
One of Peni's expressions is a stern face, ready for fighting or joining the team in a heated discussion.
The hands can be swapped out with these arms for either the closed fists or open hands, giving her a range of poses like this fighting pose (although she does not have any spider powers like the rest of the Spider-people in the movie; only the mech has the powers).
Alternate face/cellphone:
She comes with one final face, this one with a hole in the mouth and a wide-eyed expression. While the hole does serve a purpose, it also works well just as an opened mouth look for her.
Peni has one final accessory as well, a cellphone. This is attached to her left hand, and allows her to take a selfie. It could also be used to make her look like she's taking a forward-facing photo as well. There's nothing on the front of the cellphone, it's just the plastic color.
To complete the look with the cellphone selfie and peace sign, the bubblegum bubble can be put into her mouth. It simply pushes into the hole in her mouth, but the plug is a rather tight fit and requires some effort to push it in all the way.
Diorama:
Because they gave Peni a special box based on scenes from the movie, the inner box also has a street scene on it as well. This can be taken out and used as a diorama background for Peni, if you want to give her a good background for her selfie.
Overall:
Like all Nendoroids, Peni is a great example of the kind of quality, detail and complexity expected from Good Smile Company. Very cute and accurate to the movie, with a small amount of accessories and posing options!
There aren't any problems with Peni; outside of the backpack's connection. That really is bad for having her with the backpack on...it's easier just to pose her without it.
The new shoulder joint and the retro box designs are great changes...I really hope they continue those with the future Nendoroid releases!
Highly recommended. A small amount of play value and display value with a decent number of options. Would look perfect together with any other Spiderman Into The Spiderverse Nendoroids or by herself.
