Pets Available During Beta
During the Lost Ark Beta, there were a few pets available in the store that haven’t made it to the western live version yet.
Are Lost Ark Pets Account Wide?
Pets in Lost Ark are roster-wide. When you’re getting a new pet, it will be available for all your characters on the same server.
What Do Pets Do in Lost Ark?
Pets in Lost Ark have three different functions. Two of these are available by default, one is only available with Crystalline Aura active. Additionally, they can be part of your Expeditions crew.
Starting with the August Update on August 24, 2022, pets can be trained at the Lost Ark Pet Ranch in your stronghold.
Auto-Loot Items
All pets can automatically pick up items in the nearer vicinity. If you don’t want your pet to collect everything that’s lying around, you can specify filters in the pet menu [Alt + P].
Pet Effect
The Pet Effect is a defensive and an offensive buff for your character. Both effects are randomly assigned to your pet when you initially register it and can be changed for free at the Pet Management NPC Working Archatemeow in all major cities.
Pet Function (Crystalline Aura)
Pet Function comprises a number of other convenience features that you have access to when Crystalline Aura (= premium membership) is active:
- Pet Inventory (= second inventory you can use)
- Remote Storage
- Market
- Remote Mail
- Remote Repair
- Refaceting
Missions (Stronghold)
Pets can be part of the crew you send out for missions in your stronghold. As the other crew members, they also offer a specialization.
Do Pets Matter in Lost Ark?
Yes, they do! The Auto-Loot function is a really great feature and since the White Bunny is an early quest reward, it’s freely available for all players.
The Pet Function, which is available with an active Crystalline Aura, also is really helpful. It allows you to access your storage, mail, repair and the market from everywhere. Especially Remote Repair can be essential when doing hard content.
